Skilled in Conceptual Design, Analytical Skills, Microsoft Word, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), and Visualization. Strong arts and design professional with a Certificate focused in Elements of Technical Boat Design from Westlawn Institute of Marine Technology.
With so much software technology to learn regarding a 3D CAD perspective (especially with vessel design), at times I appear interiorly to be intimidated. Not difficult to do. But with all the learning resources via books, instruction manuals, and YouTube videos, for me, the videos are easiest to follow. I watched two videos today, one with AutoCAD, the other with Rhino. AutoCAD appeared to be the easiest to grasp where Rhino, for me, was more difficult.
I discovered how to add a polysurface and mesh to a simple profile using edge surfacing and mesh from a NURBS object. I was successful in my first two attempts to create a basic rendering for a mirrored design surface of a plain boat design. The results astounded me.
But this is only the beginning. With an extensive 2D formatted layout within my UI I have been successful to create these drawing for the profile, half-breadths, and I do struggle at times with the Body sections. But I hope to master through more learning experiences. I think I am getting better at this.
Stay with me folks. I will keep all updated upon my performance.
Everyone, stay healthy.
Best regards,
John G Evans
